2025 Keynote Speakers

Hasan Davis

As a speaker, Hasan invites audiences on an emotional experience, blending elements of stand-up comedy, storytelling, and statistical insights. His mission is to empower care workers and advocates to become change agents… Hope Dealers and champions for the amazing people they support. Through his work, he also wants to ensure that those members of our communities who have too often been left behind have hope, resilience, and the tools they need to thrive. 

Hasan has also developed and led trainings and professional development experiences for formal and informal leaders at all levels from young emerging leaders finding their voice in the professional world to CEOs and executive directors who are committed to providing a better outcome for their teams and the communities they serve. His high energy, creative engagement style leads to thoughtful and courageous examination of participants’ ability to activate themselves as an instrument of change.
Hasan is an accomplished author and has penned 4 books that inspire and educate. Hasan holds several honors including being named a Rockefeller Foundation Next-Generation-Leadership Fellow, An Annie E. Casey Foundation Children and Family Fellow, and a Council of State Governments, Henry Toll Fellow. His work has shaped public policy and influenced reform in Juvenile Justice, Education and Child Welfare systems. His dedication to justice and empowerment has earned him international recognition as a voice for positive change. He is a graduate of Berea College and the University of Kentucky College of Law."


Curtis Lemieux

WHAT YOU DO AT Y-USA- At Y-USA Curtis collaborates with thought leaders throughout the movement that are experts in Out of School Time to develop program practices that improve quality in afterschool, early care and day camp.

HIGHLIGHTS ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE IN YOUR CAREER- Prior to his current role at YUSA, Curtis spent 13 years at the YMCA of Greater Houston in various roles within Youth Development. He was most recently serving as the Executive Director of Youth Development where he helped to create strategy and improve program quality of nearly 200 afterschool locations, 13 Early Care Sites and 25 Day Camps and Summer Learning Academies. Curtis was able to create partnerships and sustain grant funded programs that impacted the lives of thousands of youth.

Before joining the YMCA of Greater Houston, Curtis was a proud Program Director at Camp Hazen YMCA where he helped to run operations of the Summer Camp and year-round Youth and Family programs.

ANY DEGREES OF CERTIFICATES- Curtis holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of New Haven and a bachelor's in education from Boston University. He is also a graduate of the National Outdoor Leadership School.
